Asylum

Asylum

An asylum applicant must establish a well-founded fear of persecution based on at least one of the following:

  • Race
  • Religion
  • Nationality
  • Political opinion
  • Membership in a particular social group

As a general rule, the claim must be filed within one year of arriving in the United States.

An applicants written statement and testimony is crucial to a successful asylum claim. Corroborative evidence is also required. Straub Immigration meticulously develops a client’s story and the evidence in support of it. Schedule a consultation so we can determine whether you have an achievable claim and develop a strategy to win it.
